Will, in near future, intelligent objects around us shop autonomously? Just like the smart coffee machine, which is ordering coffee caps itself. And will there still be the necessity for shop staff? Or will we be able to help ourselves with self-service checkouts? And, overall, how will digital assistants, which we constantly carry around with us, support our shopping experience?
Questions like these are in the focus of the present study which analyses potential transformations in the commerce sector until the year 2025.
