ENVISION – First Business Model Innovation tools online

04 August 2015

In the current tough economic environment, business model innovation can be the key to becoming or staying competitive. To boost European competitiveness and job creation, the ENVISION project will activate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Europe to re-think and transform their business models with the help of an easy-to-use, open-access, self-service web platform.

The project gathers nine partners and their wide networks across Europe to build the tools, study the impact of such tools and activate the SMEs for using the tools. The project is funded under the Horizon 2020 funding frame.

One of the project’s concrete objectives is to increase awareness of business model innovation and reach out to at least 10% of European SMEs while ensuring that the most prominent companies for new job creation are involved.

Within the project evolaris contributes with the development of a web-platform where approved tools and methods will be made available for SMEs. During the Kick-off Meeting, which was held end February, it was agreed that the first version of the ENVISION platform will be launched at the end of 2015.

As of today the first version of the ENVISION-platform is available online.

Via the website everyone who is interested in business models can browse through tools, partake in challenges on business model innovation or help improve the platform by giving feedback.

The platform which is available now is the first of 3 scopes. The next version will be released in June 2016 and will include a variety of online tools and interactive features to work with those tools. There will also be selection cases showing how business model innovation-tools can be applied.
