evolaris next level GmbH

The evolaris next level GmbH was founded in 2000 as an independent research and development institute for interactive media. It is based in Graz and Vienna. A network of business and science partnerships, including a teaching and research cooperation with the Karl Franzens University in Graz, facilitates top international standard R&D.

Focus of evolaris' research and development activities is mobile computing, in particular its use in customer relationship management. Innovative technologies are being developed for these purposes, enhanced in turn by associated business models and acceptance research.

Who is being addressed here?

Our efforts to promote the development of young, motivated and enthusiastic scientists are aimed at both domestic and international candidates who have focused their research on the mobile computing field. That field includes but is not limited to the following subjects:

Interactive media and making media interactive.
Mobile communications.
Mobile market research.
Design, development and evaluation of mobile services.
Business models for mobile services.
Customer experience and technology acceptance levels for mobile services.
Ubiquitous computing.
and others...

What exactly is supported?

1. Publication of dissertations

Objective
We would like to offer young scientists writing dissertations that are closely related in subject matter to the research areas at evolaris the opportunity to publish their work in the institution series Mobile Computing published by the Gabler Verlag.

How it works
We are willing to accept applications at any time.
Contents of the application: Please send us your completed dissertation in an electronic format with at least one tutor assessment, a summary of the paper (1 or 2 pages is enough) and a short curriculum vitae of the applicant.

Financial support
All costs for printing and any translation work needed.

2. Internships and joint publications

Objective
To give domestic and international doctoral students the opportunity of researching and publishing with evolaris for one to three months as part of the internship programme.

How it works
We are willing to accept applications at any time. However, please bear in mind we require a lead time of at least four months before the start of the internship you are planning.
Content of the application: Please include your curriculum vitae, a detailed description of your study and research focus, and a description of the research you plan to do (three to five pages).

Financial support
evolaris will supply a workstation and the infrastructural tools required for your research activities. evolaris will also pay your travel costs. In addition, a flat rate of € 725.00 per month will be reimbursed to you for living costs during the internship.

3. Presentation of joint scientific work at conferences

Objective
Young scientists will be given the chance to present the work they have developed in cooperation with evolaris employees at conferences.

How it works
We are willing to accept applications at any time.
Content of the application: Please send us a description of the conference, a suggestion on the scientific topic for the research you intend to undertake (including the research objective, methods, etc.), and your curriculum vitae.

Financial support
evolaris will pay the actual travel costs as well as accommodations and any registration/participation fees.

Grants will be made according to the funds available. There is no legal claim to the guarantee of funding. evolaris next level GmbH takes all decisions regarding funding grants.
