Netquality project – mobilkom austria
One of the most successful products in recent years in the world of mobile communications is the data card, which enables users to easily access Internet content. Because the infrastructure and nature of the service are relatively new, there is currently no consistent measurement of network quality from the customer side. More specifically, subjective user perception of the transmission quality, i.e., the speed, when using mobile data cards is not available.
Using an ambitiously designed test, evolaris used text messaging and mobile market research to gather more information about these customer perceptions for mobilkom austria. The data was then compared to data from a classic online survey in order to explore the procedural effects of the research methods. The results show only a marginal distinction between the two market research methods under scrutiny, which in turn validates this new style of network quality measurement for future efforts.
