evolaris performs study of media withdrawal in cooperation with Karl Franzens University in Graz

During the summer semester of 2009, evolaris performed a media withdrawal study on 54 students in conjunction with KF University in Graz. Each of the students participating in the study had to live without a mobile phone, internet or TV for a period of two weeks. The aim of the investigation was to determine whether the media differ with regard to the nature and extent of their indispensability and why they are indispensable. An important result of the study was that students found it most difficult to live without their mobile phone, and those deprived of it terminated the experiment more often that those without internet or TV. Only one participant lasted through the entire test period without terminating once.
