evolaris next level mobilizes the OEAMTC auto touring Magazine

The Austrian Automobile-, Motorbike- and Touring Club (OEAMTC), successfully launched the auto touring Magazine as an iPad application in June 2011 with his strategic partner, evolaris next level GmbH, the Competence Center for Mobile Communication and New Media. The digital edition offers the familiar auto touring contents enriched by videos, galleries and daily news from the editors. This application shall satisfy the need for mobility of the 21st century.

"As the leading Automobile and Touring Club in Austria, we already decided in January that we would like to be even more mobile to match the rising demand for mobility of our members. Information shall be available every time and everywhere - the print edition of our auto touring Magazine, which will furthermore stay one of the most important communication means with our members, will be enhanced reasonably by the application for tablets", Martin Paweletz, Head of OEAMTC media describes.

During the conceptual design and implementation, OEAMTC relied on evolaris next level GmbH. It was a clear decision to cooperate with the Competence Center for Mobile Communication in Graz, because evolaris has long lasting experience in implementing mobile services and is a warrantor for innovative expansion mechanisms.

Especially the possibilities in multimedia like e.g. embedding videos, galleries as well as up to date news, has been a significant matter for digitalizing the magazine for OEAMTC. "Especially in the automobile industry interactive items are extremely advantageous because they make driving dynamics as well as design elements and interiors come alive", Christian Adelsberger, Head of Business Development at evolaris next level GmbH, expressed.

Beside audio and video elements, the auto touring App also offers a variety of search- and bookmarking functionalities for a user-optimized navigation. Similar to the print edition, the application is available in 9 different federal state specific versions.

Also non-members are encouraged to download the App at no charge at the App-Store. As a next step OEAMTC is working on the implementation of an Android application and a web based e-Reader.
