evolaris supports the European Youth Award 2014

22 October 2014

In the course of the European Youth Award Festival 2013 young European IT-pioneers gather in Graz to present their projects from 19 to 22 November. As in previous years evolaris is taking action at the EYA in order to support the European concept of promoting socially relevant IT-projects.

The European Youth Award is an EU initiative with global benefits organised by ICNM – International Center for New Media. Developers under the age of 30 have the possibility to participate actively in the implementation of the EU strategy “Europe 2020” aiming for employment, productivity and social cohesion.

E-content projects which focus on reducing poverty and establishing equal chances regarding education, employment, health etc. for all are accepted for the award. An international Jury, including Sandra Pfleger as evolaris representative, selects two winning projects out of six categories which are based on the digital agenda of “Europe 2020”.

During the three-day-festival in Graz representatives from governments and NGOs, as well as international IT-professionals will catch up with the young developer generation to exchange ideas and build sustainable networks. Despite of the intensive programme participants will have plenty of time to explore the city of Graz in the course of several side events planned.
