 At the field Information Technology & Information Science at the University of Applied Science CAMPUS 02, the existing competence fields are bundled to research focus areas. The focal point lies at computer aided services and is found within three research- und development areas:

  •  Service Engineering – Systematic model to structured service development: a) applied research for model optimization and for application development for small and medium sized companies; b) agile approach for the optimization of service developments; c) enhancement of the stage of maturity when (IT-)services are launched.
  • Smart Services – stand-alone systems for computer aided services
  • Development of computer aided services for small and medium-sized companies.

This research focus is worked on by an interdisciplinary team, which represents the following competence fields:

  • Process Management
  • Technology Management
  • Information Technology: Internet Technologies, Software Engineering and Security

University of Maribor - Faculty of Organizational Sciences

The faculty's educational activities take place within the pedagogic unit, which includes various chairs, the Information Technology Centre, the library and the INDOK centre. In addition, the Faculty also comprises the Centre for Education and Counselling and the Moderna organizacija publishing house. Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka, is a maritime education and training institution specialized in marine-oriented programmes at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with particular emphasis on:

 

  • preparing officers for the seagoing career in nautical and marine engineering studies
  • shipping and transportation logistics/management
  • transport technology
  • maritime communications and marine electronics.

The mission of the Faculty is to provide an educational and scientific environment which stimulates intellectual curiosity and fosters professional competence. Furthermore, the Faculty prepares students for research in maritime transport, maritime education and training and in the protection in the marine environment.

Due to its particular geographical position and to the very long tradition of Trieste as an "European integrator", the University of Trieste features a strong research and education & training of excellence in Information Society Technologies. It is a nucleus within the "Trieste System" with a continuous growing of national and international institutions and high-tech companies around the University and the Area Research Park.

The last three universities, along with the Karl-Franzens-University Graz, are the founding members of the ALADIN (Alpe Adria Danube Initiative) network. Founded on 23 October 2002 as an international network that focuses on the exchange of ideas and knowledge ALADIN is involved in teaching and research, in the regional cooperation in exchange of students and professors, facilitates joint presentations, the building virtual teams of students at different universities, and is involved in international activities in the area of eCommerce.
