About us
Evolaris was founded in 2000 as an independent research and development institution for interactive media. The focus is on technologies for the Internet and mobile phones that support enterprises in gaining new customers and in serving the existing ones better. These technologies are developed on the basis of thorough analysis of real user requirements and embedded in commercially reasonable business models.
In the course of the last years the R&D-capacities grew continuously by purposeful expansion of the R&D-network. More than half of the financial capacities source from contracts with private enterprises the rest has its origins in won calls of public research programmes.
evolaris is partner of the Austrian competence centres program COMET.
Professional excellence in following areas:
- We analyse user needs using classical and interactive market research methods. Emphasis is on mobile phone- and online-surveys to analyse user requirements as well as testing systems concerning usability and customer acceptance.
- We design systems on the basis of interactive technologies especially for web and mobile devices. Additionally we develop business models for reasonable and profitable applications of these technologies.
- We develop interactive systems especially for web and mobile devices. Core area is the prototypical development of systems for mobile devices to support customer relationship management especially in convergence with classical media.

- Successful implementation projects with enterprises from various areas such as automotive, public administration, banks, media, advertising and education.
- Scientific network
evolaris bundles and integrates national and international scientific competences and enlarges project- and future-orientated its contacts with scientists and scientific institutions in Austria and abroad. At the moment evolaris cooperates with numerous research institutions in Austria, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Hong Kong and Japan. - Sustainable and successful partnerships with numerous partner enterprises. This integration contributes strongly to the development of the Austrian research landscape.
- About 400 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings as well as scientific books and journals.
- Successful completion of about 100 master theses respectively bachelor theses and 23 doctoral theses.
- Editing of the scientific serial (‚Mobile Computing´) in cooperation with the renowned publishing company Gabler.
